I like to swap cushions and blankets around as I get bored!
The rectangle one is made from a lovely pink linen tweed I got from Fabworks in Dewsbury, fastened with 2 big buttons. The front of the others is vintage Sanderson fabric I found recently in a charity shop in Helmsley. I love the pinky tone of the background.
The quilt on the back of the sofa was made from odds and ends and I blogged about it here in January 2012.
It doesn't take much time or money to do this, recycling cushion inners, zips and using fabric I've accumulated. It makes the sofa much more comfortable...
Don't you agree, Small Dog?
See you soon x
Go on, admit it Sally, you really made that cushion for small dog didnt you?! Definitely need to sort out a day to get together soon!
ReplyDeleteI love lots of cushions and yours are great. Any chance of borrowing your official cushion tester?
ReplyDeleteI could post him - he is very small :)
DeleteIt looks wonderful! Love the quilt - off to read about it now x Jane
ReplyDeleteDog and cushion look so cozy together :)
ReplyDeleteLove your sofa - mine is similar - quilt, blankets and lots of cushions - a very cozy spot :)
So lovely to hear from you this weekend, welcome back to blogland x
DeleteVery very pretty! :) x
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I love the Sanderson fabric, an amazing find.
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely Sally, and Small Dog obviously approves! I like swapping things around too - things tend to evolve here- and because I can make them so cheaply, I don't feel like I'm wasting money by making new things.
ReplyDeleteLovely cushions Sally, love both the pretty Sanderson fabric and the tweed. I'm like you, I like to change the cushions and throw around regularly!
ReplyDeleteGill xx
Your cushions look lovely, love the vintage fabric! I definitely need to get making some to replace my plain boring ones! Looking forward to having a mooch around your blog :)
