About Me

I'm Sally, a fortysomething married and working Mum of 2 children (and Small Dog) happiest just pottering about in my home in a North Yorkshire village.  I love vintage fabrics and homewares and the simple pleasures in life.
I like to knit, having learnt from my Step-Grandma when I was a child. I taught myself to sew, use a sewing machine and follow a pattern when I was at school. Until recently I had *crochet-fear* which I am pleased to have now overcome, having learnt to crochet on a course in York!  I love the British seaside, and nothing makes me happier than time at the Yorkshire Coast from Whitby, down to Bridlington and Hornsea.
I have too many teacups, teapots, doilies, old books and vintage fabrics...and if you stand still too long you will be strung with bunting and fairy lights.   Lover of a good rummage in a charity shop or car boot sale. I like cookbooks, homebaking and making preserves. I also like a good gin and tonic, Earl Grey tea and a decent wedge of homemade cake.
Thanks for popping in!

  1. Hello, just been catching up with your blog. You sound like a girl after my own heart. I used to buy and sell vintage and crocheting is the only craft I couldn't get to grips with. x
